The Out Of Africa Theory
About 200,000 years ago Homo Sapiens appeared in North Africa. They then spread through and out of Africa 100-150,000 years ago. They got to Europe and Australia by 40,000 years ago and later into America.
We don't know exactly why humans migrated it could be because of food shortages but genetics suggests that the cold northern climate could have made them move south but the doesn't explain why some groups moved into cold Siberia.
When Homo Sapiens migrated into Europe they came across the Neanderthals the Neanderthals died out around 30,000 years ago no one really knows why it could have been because Homo Sapiens killed them or food pressure caused by Homo Sapiens. Neanderthals weren't as intelligent as Homo Sapiens and Homo Sapiens had much better tools.
11,000 years ago the age of hunter gathering finished in the Middle East but it ended only a couple of hundred years ago in other places including Australia.

The rise of Agriculture:
Agriculture first started about 12,000 years and because it changed society so much it was named the neothalic revolution.
Cereals were farmed in Syria about 9,000 years ago but pears were farmed even earlier, prehistoric fruits were found in the Jordan Valley tracing back to about 11,300 years ago. Although the process from gathering and farming was gradual. The switch from nomadic to a more permanent way of life was marked by neothalic villages with grinding stones to process grains. Rice farming dates back to the same period. The oldest known rice fields were discovered in eastern China reveals evidence of ancient farming techniques such as flood and fire control.
Cattle, goats, sheep, and pigs all have their origins as farmed animals in the Fertile Crescent. This region started the Neothalic Revolution,
Dates for the domestication of these animals range from between 13,000 to 10,000 years ago.
Humans were originally not able to digest cow milk but during the spread of farming in south eastern Europe a mutation of lactose tolerance enabled humans to digest cow's milk.
